twenty great things i did this year.
i’m following in emily’s footsteps in doing this list. i loved the idea but as i reflected on my year, nothing stood out in terms of accomplishments. and that’s why i love having this little blog thing. i looked through my archive and realized i did some REALLY GREAT things (at least to me they’re great). as far as true milestone accomplishments go, that’s what 2011...

wake up and realize it’s Christmas morning
walk down stairs
make my way over to my stocking
see santa ate the mince pies and rudolf ate the carrot
sit in front of the Christmas tree and stare at all the presents
Run around the house and realize no one else is awake

yesterday was my first day OFF in a long time. by off, i mean no homework, no school, no work, no nothing. the only thing on my agenda was ethan’s band’s show in the evening.
i finally framed and hung the kurt halsey prints i purchased a few months ago.
i had also watched some news segment where they suggested decorating every room with holiday decorations. when i was at...

santa came early for green...
yesterday, i had ethan pull all of green’s christmas presents from the attic. i was going to start wrapping them but got super lazy and only ended up wrapping the stuff she’d be able to smell through the paper (edibles). so, she was gifted with a new fleece blanket and fleece/rope toy a few days early.
fast forward thirty minutes and she’s snuggled up on the couch with her new...

pumpkin peanut butter [dog] cookies!
last week, i was perusing sur la table, when i stumbled across their massive selection of cookie cutters. i had found some recipes for dog cookies to bake for greenly. i thought they would be more fun in festive shapes (like bones and squirrels) so i picked some up.
then i decided it would be fun to give out these little treats to all of the dogs in our neighborhood as well as friends with dogs....
